The Tour de France is the world’s most traditional road cycling event, as well as the largest annual sporting event in the world. The race was first organized in 1903, and in the present, Tour de France brings together the stars of cycling: only the best in the world can ride the 3,600 km of the competition. It is a 22-day event (being only 2 rest days for the athletes) that is traditionally held in the month of July. The Tour consists of 20 stages in different routes, through France and nearby countries.For all its grandeur, the Tour de France has become an object of desire for many athletes and spectators. Each year the competition takes more than 12 million people to the streets to cheer for the athletes along the roads.
Since 1993, L’Étape du Tour offers amateur cyclists and cycling enthusiasts the opportunity to experience an event with the feel of the Tour de France. Allowing people to experiment the real sensations of professional cycling, the event soon started to attract cyclists from all over the world, traveling to France in search of the experience.Nowadays, approximately 13,000 cyclists from over 50 countries gather in L’Étape du Tour. Each event offers the opportunity to ride a different route, discover new regions and combine a sporting challenge with tourism in one of the most beautiful countries in Europe.
L’Étape Brasil Santander moved on to the city of Campos do Jordão, where we held its fifth and eighth edition. In 2022, L’Étape Brasil Santander takes place from September 23th to 25th, once again in Campos do Jordão.
O Tour de France é a mais tradicional prova do ciclismo de estrada mundial, assim como o maior evento esportivo anual do mundo. Criado em 1903, o Tour de France reúne a nata do ciclismo: somente os melhores do mundo podem percorrer os 3.600 km da competição. É um evento de 22 dias (sendo apenas 2 dias de descanso para os atletas) que acontece sempre ao longo mês de julho. O Tour é composto por 20 etapas de trajetos diferentes, que passam pela França e por países vizinhos. Por toda a sua grandiosidade, o Tour de France tornou-se um objeto de desejo de muitos atletas e espectadores. A cada ano a competição leva mais de 12 milhões de pessoas às ruas para torcer e animar os atletas ao longo das estradas.
Desde 1993, o L’Étape du Tour oferece aos ciclistas amadores e entusiastas do ciclismo a oportunidade de vivenciar um evento com a sensação do Tour de France. Permitindo que as pessoas experimentassem as verdadeiras sensações do ciclismo profissional, o evento logo passou a atrair ciclistas de todo o mundo, que viajam à França em busca da experiência. Atualmente, cerca de 13.000 ciclistas de mais de 50 países se reúnem no L’Étape du Tour. Cada evento oferece a oportunidade de percorrer um roteiro diferente, descobrir novas regiões e combinar o desafio desportivo com o turismo num dos mais belos países da Europa.
Por meio de uma parceria inédita entre iniciativa privada e a A.S.O. – Amaury Sports Organisation, chegou ao Brasil em 2015 um dos mais respeitados eventos esportivos do mundo. Após três bem sucedidas edições nos anos de 2015, 2016 e 2017 na cidade paulista de Cunha, o L’Étape Brasil Santander seguiu para Campos do Jordão, onde realizará o evento pela quinta vez. A oitava edição do L’Étape Brasil Santander acontece de 23 a 25 de setembro de 2022.

Because it is a physically challenging cycling event that requires intensive training, the only requirement is the submission of a medical certificate of fitness for competitive cycling practice issued by a cardiologist and valid for less than one year from the day of the event.
